Desert Horizons Communities became a licensed vendor for the State of Arizona in 2009. We had a mission to serve the developmentally disabled community and be one of the best community care providers in the Southwest.
We started with a single location providing Day Program services. Through our Day Program, we quickly found families and members that wanted us to serve them in Group Home settings as well. While we continue to operate our ever expanding Day Program, our Group Homes have grown. Its been an amazing journey and we love all the members we have served and are still serving.
What's important to us is not only the members we serve, but also our Staff. Our Executive Director, Nancy Shields, has over 30 years of experience in this field and with her expertise and knowledge has built an excellent management team. Our team has developed an incredible staff that cares about our members and the quality of care they receive. We couldn't do it without them and greatly appreciate the hard work they put in every day and night.
